After two years of working in a factory of the National Railway, Yasundo longed for a more academic field. He resigned from the Railway and through Prof. Niwa found a teaching job at Yokahama Technical College. Yasundo wrote in his diary "I am mediocre, not a genius, therefore the only way to get ahead is hard work!" But he also loved fun: he was an avid moviegoer, collected classic music records and was a real shutter-bug! |

On April 9, 1939, Yasundo Takahashi, 27, and Kuwako Kusunoki, 23, were married. They are greeting their friends at the reception at Tokyo Kaikan in Tokyo. |
