With skill and imagination Tova Seiko
Matatyaou demonstrates Wafu School's emphasis on the natural beauty of
materials and the importance of harmony between flowers, vase, and the
environment. These principles and her love of nature and flowers first
attracted Tova to the Wafu School and led her to study with Fusako Seiga Hoyrup
for the last 26 years. In 1988 Tova received her teaching certificate and has
been teaching Wafu ikebana since then. Today she holds Wafu's
Gakukan degree and teaches in the Fremont school district. Her
work is often seen in exhibitions. She is a member of Ikebana International and
is a member of the board of directors of the Ikebana Teachers Federation.
