Like his father and grandfather, Mr. Wafu Teshigahara leads the Wafu School of Ikebana from his Tokyo headquarters. His demonstration program featured the naturalistic approach to ikebana design taught in Wafukai. Headmaster since 1992, Mr.Teshigahara's ikebana often reflects his background in photography and graphic design. He views ikebana as a spatial art form which harmonizes flowers, containers and their environment and his work evokes ikebana's elegance, creativity and mystique.
