Sumi Kyokusei Metz brings Wafu School Ikebana to the stage with her visions of "Madame Butterfly Ikebana", accompanied by music from the grand opera. Mme. Metz teaches classes in the South Bay Area. Recently she was awarded Wafukai's Gakukan degree. She has demonstrated Wafu Ikebana throughout the Bay Area often and exhibited in many local venues, including the important "Bamboo Masterpieces" exhibition at the Asian Art Museum in May 2000.
