Hideko Metaxas, Senior Professor, Ikenobo Ikebana

Hideko Metaxas, Senior Professor, Ikenobo Ikebana

Using the rich beauty of November's crisp days, bountiful harvests and Thanksgiving festivity as her theme, Hideko Hidemika Metaxas, created nine classic Ikenobo arrangements in her demonstration program. Ikenobo Ikebana is known as the "origin of Ikebana" since it is the oldest and one of the largest among many schools of the art existing today. Ms. Metaxas holds Ikenobo's high rank of Senior Professor, 4th grade. She presented both traditional and contemporary interpretations of this much-admired school of floral art in her performance.
