May 15 1998 - The World of Wafu

As the final program of the 1997-98 season, The World of Wafu presented the artistry of one of the Bay Area's foremost teachers of Ikebana, Fusako Seiga Hoyrup. Mme. Hoyrup is a principal teacher of Wafu School and President of Wafukai California. She holds the Shukan degree, the school's highest degree. Her work is noted for its elegance, creativity and mysticism. She has demonstrated and exhibited frequently in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the United States as well as abroad in Australia, India, South Africa, Denmark and Brazil. In addition to teaching private students, she also teaches in Fremont school district.

The chapter took a summer break following this program. Monthly programs will resume on September 18, 1998.
