IKEBANA 2007
The 26th Ikebana Flower Show Presented by the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
Ikebana International

San Franciscans and visitors to the Bay Area enjoyed a springtime treat at Ikebana 2007, a large and elegant display of Japanese style flower arrangements. Installed in the San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park, this biennial exhibition is renowned for the variety, size and beauty of the displays. It is the only local show which features arrangements and demonstrations by artists from several different ikebana schools. Their work includes classic, traditional styles born in Japanese antiquity, widely practiced contemporary designs, and avant-garde creations which forecast trends in ikebana art. In addition to the exhibition, six prominent ikebana teachers will demonstrate the art on stage. Ikebana International is a nonprofit cultural organization serving the entire San Francisco Bay Area since 1960.
