Ikebana International and Sogetsu Bay Area Branch
at the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show

Ikebana International presented the spring Sogetsu Bay Area Branch Flower Show as part of the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show at the Cow Palace. More than 45,000 visitors visited the show during the four-day run. In addition to a large exhibition of Sogetsu arrangements there was information about the various Ikebana schools, educational displays and sales of Ikebana containers, equipment, how-to kits and books.

Two Sogetsu Ikebana artists gave demonstration programs. Both were at 1:00 p.m. in the Diablo Room, Hall E:

Saturday, March 20: Chris Hokyu Mehling
Sunday, March 21: Kimiko Kosho Dixon
Kathy Takesaka and Chieko Hisamune worked at the educational display to provide information on Ikebana classes and teachers, and assisted visitors in choosing Ikebana containers, supplies and books. Flower Show Tickets
