In January 2003 the chapter observes the 43rd anniversary of its founding. Three master teachers from three ikebana schools present a program honoring this special event.

 

Keiko Hitchcock, Ikenobo School
Mrs. Hitchcock is an Assistant Professor of Ikenobo Ikebana, 1st Grade (Jun-Kyoju). In addition to teaching ikebana privately, she owns and operates a flower shop in San Francisco. In 2001 she received a 1st prize in the florist competition at the San Francisco Garden Show.

Sakae Ichiei Sakaki, Enshu School

Sakae Ichiei Sakaki, Enshu School
As the leading teacher of Enshu School in the Bay Area, Mrs. Sakaki teaches privately and demonstrates and exhibits frequently. She studied with Headmaster Isshin Mori in Japan and with the late Mme. Haruko Obata.

Michiko Hosoda, Aratame School
Mrs. Hosoda is vice president and master teacher of the Aratame School. She has a long career teaching in California public schools and presents ikebana demonstrations and exhibits for many community events.
