A special gala program celebrating the chapter's 40th anniversary featured Ikebana demonstrations by the three Teacher Advisors: Mrs. Teruko Anderson, Ikenobo School; Mrs. Suiyo Fujimoto, Ohara School; and Mr. Shuko Kobayashi, Sogetsu School. Members and their guests enjoyed a luncheon prior to the demonstration. Past presidents exhibited arrangements and founding president Kuwako Biho Takahashi provided her traditional anniversary cake for guests.
