Past presidents gathered to celebrate the
40th anniversary of the chapter on January 21, 2000. Left to right, are Carole

The anniversary cake was baked and
decorated in a team effort led by Kuwako Takahashi, founding president of the
San Francisco chapter. The team consisted of Carole Gray, Virginia Logan, and
Leslie Kodama.
The anniversary meeting was
a great success with nearly 200 people in attendance for the box lunch and
demonstration. Mrs. Kyoko Narumiya, wife of the Vice Consul General of Japan,
led the group in a New Year's toast with a cup of sake.
