"Art and Beyond: The Steccati Legacy" presented the elegant work of Hugo and the late Alva Steccati. These two highly regarded Bay Area artists frequently reflect their love of ikebana in their works of art. Alva Steccati was a painter who studied Sogetsu ikebana for many years. She often painted ikebana images and created many stunning ikebana arrangements for exhibitions. Her husband, Hugo, a prominent commercial photographer, always made time in his busy schedule to produce exquisite photographs of Alva's ikebana as well as that of other members of the chapter. Hugo's latest gift to the chapter is the eye-catching opening photograph of the chapter's award-winning internet website. |
