Steven Brown

Bringing a deeper perspective of ikebana's influence on floral design, Steven Brown spoke and demonstrated for the December program. Mr. Brown has taught floristry for 16 years and his career in the floral industry spans a quarter of a century during which he has figured prominently in Bay Area and California floristry. He is an active member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), and served as president of AIFD's northwest region in 1995. He is co-author of "Green and Blooming Plants" by Teleflora and contributes to Floral Review Magazine each month as author of "Fresh Flowers". A winner of floral competitions, his insights will broaden understanding and appreciation of ikebana's place in contemporary American life.

Annual Holiday Bazaar from 11:00 a.m. offering ikebana containers, materials and equipment. Also for sale are holiday greens, flowers, homemade baked goods, fruits, etc. Nonmembers are welcome; admission is free.
