Show And Sell: Sale of Members' Arts & Crafts

Mitsuko Suiko Maruyama

The jubilant spirit of the holidays was celebrated with a demonstration by Ms. Mitsuko Suiko Maruyama. She holds advanced degrees in Ohara School and has long been a student of Grandmaster Suiyo Fujimoto, often assisting her onstage. A member of the chapter for more than two decades, Ms. Maruyama demonstrates and exhibits frequently throughout the greater Bay Area. She also leads the Ohara School of Northern California Chapter. Currently she is president of the Ikebana Teachers Federation and also serves on the board of the Chapter as Historian.

And in the tradition of the chapter at its festive year-end program, a bountiful holiday bazaar was presented, offering art and craft items created by chapter members, many of whom excel in arts in addition to ikebana. Many unique and attractive holiday gift items were available.
