A memorial plaque beside a tree was dedicated to former chapter president Byra Wreden. A group of Mrs. Wreden's friends, family and chapter members gathered in the Moon Viewing Pavilion of Strybing Arboretum and honored Mrs. Wreden for her presidency of the chapter from 1972-1974 and for her unfailing support of chapter activities.

Scot Medbury, Director of Strybing Arboretum Botanical Gardens, read a message dedicating the plaque as Mrs. Wreden's son, William P. Wreden, Jr., and sister, Betty Buckwalter, looked on.
