Katsuko Thielke, a Sogetsu Teacher, was December's demonstrating artist. She amazed and enchanted her audience with innovative, exciting Ikebana, using her materials in unexpectedly novel ways. Owner of a flourishing flower and gift business, Mrs. Thielke also teaches Creative Ikebana in Los Altos and San Jose. She is an active member of several Bay Area Ikebana organizations and demonstrates and exhibits frequently. |

| The Holiday Bazaar |
| This annual sale of holiday treats was eagerly received by members, their guests and visitors to the chapter. Bazaar Chair Irma Houser and her team of volunteers provided a large and enticing array of homemade delicacies, baked goods, Ikebana containers and equipment, gift items, etc. for sale. Everyone was welcome to browse and buy. Proceeds from the sale benefit chapter programming. |
