THINGS REMEMBERED

Ron Brown, Sogetsu SchoolRon Kodo Brown, Sogetsu artist and teacher, presented a program featuring his unique containers. He holds the Sogetsu rank of Jonin Sanyo. Brown, a familiar ikebana demonstrator and exhibitor, is known for his original containers made from discarded and found items, usually wood and metal. He enjoys contrasting old, weathered wood and metal with fresh flowers and plant materials. In the April program he used containers he has made and some given to him by ikebana masters with whom he has studied. A professional vintner by trade, he is founder of Ron Brown and Associates, a consulting firm for small wineries.
